Today I’m missing Wood Mountain. I’m missing what I know is coming.
My favorite time of year is spring run off, when the creek rises and and the snow melt rushes through the pastures. I spent a huge amount of time outdoors growing up, and was so lucky to be raised where I was. My sister and I would spend days wandering through our trees following the water. And sitting out on the step late at night listening to the rush of the creek. And waiting for the bus early in the morning with the door open just so we could enjoy it. It’s the best time of year.
I’m also missing this little girl. I love this picture because it could be any of my sisters on our ranch running around the pasture. It is me.
But really it is my cutesy niece Kace-o. You get the point.
